Asian City Asian Supermarket at 369 Victoria Ave, Chatswood offers a wide range of Asian groceries, fresh produce, and everyday essentials in a convenient location.
Asian City Asian Supermarket 萬佳超級市場 is a supermarket located at 369 Victoria Ave, Chatswood NSW 2067. It serves as a regional destination for a wide variety of Asian grocery items, including fresh vegetables, dried and frozen foods, snacks, instant and fresh noodles, and specialty cooking ingredients. The store operates daily from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, accommodating shoppers throughout the week.
The supermarket is known for its selection of fresh produce, which is sourced from nearby farms and restocked regularly, especially on Saturdays. Customers can also find a range of ready-to-eat items such as BBQ pork buns and other dim sum-style goods. While the seafood section is located next door, Asian City offers a convenient complement to nearby retail options in Chatswood, including several other Asian grocery stores.
The store layout is described as somewhat compact with narrow aisles, and while it accepts credit cards, debit cards, and NFC mobile payments, it does not provide restroom facilities, wheelchair-accessible entrances, or designated accessible parking. Shoppers typically bring their own bags or pay a small fee for plastic ones. As a busy retail spot within a cluster of similar markets, this location caters well to those seeking authentic Asian ingredients and staples in a central Chatswood setting.
Asian City Asian Supermarket offers a broad selection of Asian groceries, particularly fresh vegetables sourced locally on weekends, often at competitive prices. Visitors appreciate the variety of dried, frozen, and ready-to-eat items, though the store layout can feel cramped during busy times. While the supermarket covers most essentials, some fresh seafood products are located next door, and accessibility features are limited.
4.8 - I love shopping at this store! It has so many of the items I need for my cooking. Abundance of fresh veggies and any other dried food or frozen food items including BBQ pork buns or other yum cha goodies, crockery, cutlery, drinks, instant and fresh noodles, Steamboat items etc. It also has a lot of little snacks if you're ready to eat them! Conveniently located next to another place for Fresh Veggies, Butcher and Seafood Market!
This supermarket is always busy, some of the isles and narrow. There’s quite a range to select from in this store including fresh vegetables but the seafood is next door. Parking next door in Chatswood Chase, bring your own shopping bags to avoid paying for them.
Various things from Asian. Good to have asian shop around. Only charge 0.05$ for plastic bag. Vegetables is cheap. Special chilli. Only 3$.
Solid Asian grocery. A bit on the older side but has everything you need. Recommend going to the veg store next door while you’re down there
They bring fresh veges from nearby farms every Saturday morning. Veges are so fresh and good quality but price is lower than coles/woolworths.
If you haven't quite convinced yourself to go down the stairs... WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? this shop is like Ali Babas' tavern. Or better it's the corn of abundance! I swear I do all my Asian food shopping there now and have discovered so many incredible lunch box treats! And munchies such as the spicy tempura seaweed. Ohhhh they're good! But there's also all the fresh produce that even when I don't necessarily get, I always stop to look at. I can't get enough of it
I prefer shopping at this supermarket to its competitors in Chatswood. First of all, the shop is run by people from Hong Kong, which means the quality of merchandise and staff performance are generally better than its competitors. Here, u don’t worry about man-made additives, and many fresh food items are made in Australia. As staff are from Hong Kong and English/cantonese-speaking, they are generally courteous, patient, and tolerant, if u are polite to them. It’s a wholly different kind of mindset at play here. In particular, there is a mature-age female staff member at the cash register, and she is very polite, patient, and customer-orientated. The shop is also one of the major advocates/campaigners of traditional and authentic Chinese culture. During the annual Chinese new year, dragon dance and drumming are performed in front of the shop, reminding the local community that time-honoured traditions of Chinese culture are still well and alive, bringing a sense of awareness and pride to those of mandarin/cantonese-speaking backgrounds.
This large Asian supermarket is popular with locals especially Asians. They have a variety of food, including fresh vegetables and fruits, frozen items, sweets, savouries and snacks. Open 7 days a week until late. Prices are competitive. Access is via stairs which can be difficult for disabled people. Staff are friendly and helpful. Parking is difficult in the area, so park at Chatswood Chase which offers free 3 hours parking.
